Born This Way

As you may have guessed, i'll be talking about Lady Gaga's new song (which became #1 today);

'Born This Way'

This is one amazing song, not just because it's sung by the greatest singer, performer and person ever, it's because this song really addresses that we need to love ourselves more. I Love myself, yes mam i do! Why? Well if there's no love then what is there? How can you love others if you can't love yourself? YOU CAN'T!

We as human beings, are very harsh on ourselves. We forget that we are, after all human. Some people freak out at the thought of doing something wrong, making a mistake, not being perfect or the 'ideal,' being different and whatnot. Mistakes are what created Sellotape and sticky notes, how handy are they?!

Being different is also another amazing but strangled thing. I like to think of myself as one of the most accepting people on this planet, now of course i have my dislikes but i would never beat someone else up just because they like to have a relationship with the same sex, or because they have a disability or because they're asian or whatever. How boring would the world be if we were ALL THE SAME?!

You'd think that in this day and age, things like sexism, homophobia, racism,  etc would be in the past along with slavery and jail for stealing a loaf of bread, but no some people (some generations) still have a negative way towards certain people.

Bottom line is people need to love themselves more. This is in no way connected to v-tines day. Go ahead to the mirror and look at yourself, is there something really wrong with you? Really? I wan't you to tell yourself that you love yourself, not like, not that you're fond of yourself that you LOVE yourself. You're beautiful, why aren't you? Who are others to judge what's beautiful? Yes, loving yourself is hard, but it beats co-dependency. Once you get there, it's a lot easier to live without needing someone to give you the type of love that you need.
