The Big World

My my so here i am, over a week since being 18 and let me tell you this, i don't really feel any different, I'm not let down by the lack of differentiation but i do get excited when i actually go out and buy alcohol and go Brighton knowing i can get in with no worry and whatnot which is fab. I haven't been selling myself to feed an addition to clubbing, i've only been out once since my birthday and thats fine by me =]


I was going through this bog big box which has been in my room since i've moved, and i found all my old school uniforms, and memories came flooding back as they do! Even just missing the routing of getting up at the same time each morning, putting on the shirt and jumper and doing my 8-3 Monday to Friday. I'd like to do it all again, just for a week though!


I miss my friends dearly, unfortunately nothing exciting has been happening with me, it's all died down a bit which sucks, July was a lot more exciting, so I'm looking forward to September to start working on my play again! 


Work is crazy, both our manager and a/m have left so we're slightly on our uppers, but it does make work that little bit more exciting, not knowing what the day will be like, this is probably the reason why I'm still there.. everyday is different. Unlike Waitrose where i would just be on the till for four hours doing the same thing, no two days are the same at Costa.





My results were good, I got an A in my dance practical! YES!! Couldn't believe that at all! Got a C overall in Dance and a D in Comms & Culture which i don't give a poo about, and of course a DD in Performing Arts, So i've got enough points, grades whatever to pretty much go anywhere I wanna go =] Im auditioning for Drama School again for 2012 entry, I've decided i'll apply to CSSD, LAMDA, GSA, and Guildhall! Very excited about it all again and can't wait to get stuck in!


I was going to talk about something else but my train of thought has been temporarily suspended...................


I've written an awful lot in a short space of time, clearly there was much to update you all on!


Just a nice little update for you today, oh and because I LOVE Christmas, it's 121 days away, so get planning, saving, shopping, wrapping!!

Riots, Markets & My 18th

My my hasn't a lot been going on over the last few nights? 


We all know about the riots, you can't escape it and strangely a lot of people are on the same side in terms of it's publicity. 


The debate now is to whether to bring in the army or not. Personally i don't think we should get the army involved as the mindless thugs and bandwagon-jumpers run away when the police run towards them, they can do the job but they need more on the streets and take a firmer hand, which i think they are scared to do because of previous incidents. 


Unfortunately the riots are spreading to Birmingham, Bristol and Liverpool. I also hear that Brighton could possibly be on the cards, which i really hope doesn't come to reality as events are being cancelled left right and centre with Notting Hill facing either being cancelled or postponed, not forgetting Pride is at risk in Brighton. It would be disgusting for these vandals to ruin others fun. This is how NOT to gain respect, how NOT to get your voice heard.

The markets are in a shitty state. To simplify the US nearly ran out of money, which sucks because they buy a lot of things from other countries. Their credit rating was downgraded which means the country has a small risk in not paying its debts so people are less likely to buy from them and invest money in their businesses in fear they will not see any return.


Our market; the FTSE 100 is also affected by this and by other factors such as the riots and the Eurozone debt crisis. The FTSE 100 is a group of the biggest companies in the UK, and is used to manage business prosperity. It began at 1000 'points' in the 80's and reached a high of 6950.6 in 1999 and a low of less than 3500 in 2009. Generally <5000 is bad, >6000 is great with anything in-between being just right. This number is affected when people buy/sell shares the companies offer in the index offer. The more people buy shares in hope to see a profit when companies make their profit mean you'll earn money on the company's income. The more shares you have the more money you earn, however this swings both ways, if the company makes a loss you lose your investment. So when share holders lose confidence and think the companies won't make money they sell their shares for however much they are worth for that particular company. Just because the FTSE may be down, company shares can still be up.

On lighter news IT'S MY 18TH ON FRIDAY!!! I can NOT wait, excitement is finally setting in as we are 2 days and 11 hours away! Im very excited to enter the life where i can make my own decisions and can do things without written permission of mummy! Any harsh reality will not enter my mind until the glorious sugar coating has been eaten =] I hope as many people can come out and celebrate with me, not only will it be a time to celebrate my amazing 18 years on this world but to get away from the shite which is happening.

Peeved

Yes i am peeved and i will tell you why this is so, i still haven't been paid. STILL. I know i go on about this a lot, but it SUCKS to not know when you'll be paid, a lot of you lucky devils you, you know when you're going to receive your dollah. Me? It can be anytime between the 26th and the 4th. It's a big window to be penniless. Jusayin.


Furthermore my fellow readers, my mobile telecommunications device is getting on my tits very much. WHY?! You once again question; because i've passworded the damn thing with just 4 numbers. 4. Simple. Numbers. I willingly connected it to mon laptop to update it and it asks me for the password (to which i was rather impressed) so i enter it in, as you do and it tells me it's incorrect. Ermmmmm, no i believe it is correct considering I'm the master of said phone and I set it.. so.. yeah.. wtf?! 


I'm now on my last attempt to which I'm petrified of entering the number because it smugly tells me it'll wipe everything. I am nervous and on edge. I'd rather not loose everything dear phone, but if you're going to act like a bratty child and do this to me then i'll have no option to send you to eBay in which you WILL be sold to some poor person who doesn't know what they're letting themselves in to. DO you want that do you? EH? DO you?!
