2010 Is Over, If You Want It.

It really annoys me that every time I start to write one of these that i have to change the font, as i don't like the default. I much prefer this one =]


Anyway I very much digress. Here we are ladies and gentlemen, 2010 is days away from ending, this year will never happen again as it passes into the ever growing pages of history. What has this year done to/for you?


2010 has been a strange year for me. A kind of 'nothing special, but it's all the little things' kind of year. When i look back, i've done some amazing things. I've performed in Billy Elliot both in Brighton and the Victoria Palace - London! Which was like a dream come true, as I want to be a performer, i never thought I would be able to say;

"I performed on a West End stage at the age of 16"

I mean you get children who do it everyday, but thats only because they have pushy parents, but for me it was truly magical.

Also, performing in other college shows, but noticeably a show which battled the elements and took on what ever could be thrown at it. It's A Wonderful Life.

9 original performances cancelled, a lead who couldn't perform at the last minute, trouble recasting and a performer who left college on opening night. 

Yes, it was worse than it looks but we performed 4 times and had a ball. I loved being in the show and performing with my friends, it's such a shame that we were cut short, we didn't deserve it one little bit but alas fate chose our path for whatever reason.

To finish, Im actually fairly nervous about what 2011 will bring me. I leave college, a place that has changed evolved me into a stronger performer, a better person and someone who knows that they can have what they want. You just have to believe you can do it. I start drama school auditions as well as trying out for one uni, which in its self opens a whole new chapter in my life and can change it forever. Next year can can go either way for me, I sense that there will be no in between feeling like this year, I'll either love the year or it will be a complete train wreck. 2010 Is Over, If You Want It.
