Lost With No Direction

Ok, so let me tell you what's been going round and round and round and round on my head lately.

It's so unclear that I cant even listen to music while typing this or list what's going on, in a list.

Basically, with people getting their results and stuff, and how hard people are having to fight to get in to a uni or wherever, im thinking

" is higher education something i really wanna consider? "

I'm talking about rising tuition fee's and shrinking uni course places people! The fight is only going to get tougher as the years go by, so even taking a gap year in 2011 will be a mistake, as i'll return to EVEN HARDER fighting. Not sure i wanna do that.

Now since the release of results i've been thinking is all the possible debt gained from uni worth it? I've heard so many sides from it.

" Yes you should still fight for a place, as someone with a degree is more likely to earn more money "

" Students should maybe consider if they actually need to go somewhere to study. The Open University offers great courses and you end up with the same qualification but without the debt "

Ergh.

... I was typing something, but then was going to delete it. My browser the closed. I thought i lost this whole post. I panicked for a sec. Then remembered that it's autosaved. Phew.

So yeah, after a sleepless night i still don't know what to do.

I have even thought of creating my own theatre company specialising in Improvisation and Physical Theatre. Which i'd love to do.

So yeah, crazy me, no direction for the future atm and yeah...

  1. So few people have clear plans for their future, and many people who do go to Uni end up changing careers at some point in their life, most people more than once.

Also experience is usually valued highly, even over degrees. Unless it's a medical or lawyer type job...
